Headonist Hair and Beauty salon has scooped a place in the prestigious American Crew “Face Off” Style Guide for 2011. The Style Guide features the best in men’s hairdressing and is widely viewed as the “bible” for trend setting gent’s hair styles.

Teresa Martignetti, Artistic Designer at Headonist who created the look, says “I couldn’t be happier. To have my work featured in such a well known professional magazine is a real achievement”. Teresa used American Crew products to create a short, textured style reflecting current trends towards a more masculine look.

Headonist co-owner, Vanessa Couzens, says “we are so proud of Teresa. She’s a fantastic stylist and well deserves the accolade”.

MK Women & Work Group join forces with Headonist

Headonist hair and beauty salon have teamed up with local charity MK Women and Work Group to offer unemployed women and those in low paid and low skilled jobs the opportunity to update their look and improve their employment prospects.

Women and Work clients will be models for Headonist apprentices and, under supervision, can have their style transformed with a free up to date cut, and new hair colour.

Vanessa Couzens, co-owner of Headonist, says – “how you look plays such an important role in how you feel about yourself. We see it every day with our clients – a new hairstyle can take years of a person’s age and if you feel good, you are more confident and outgoing. We’re delighted to be working with Women and Work and it’s a great opportunity for our apprentices to hone their skills on a wide range of clients”.

“It can be very daunting seeking a new job” says Janice Jones, office manager at Women and Work “and so much depends on your confidence. Our motto is “enabling women to transform their lives” and new skills provided by us and a new look from Headonist can really help our deserving clients to achieve their full potential”.
