MEET THE TEAM
Salon Owner / Director
Hairdressing has always been my passion from when I was a little girl. My cousin owned a Hair Salon which I used to go to regularly when I was 8 years old to help clean and watch what she used to do. She started to teach me and since then, I knew it was something I wanted to do and I had a dream of becoming a Salon Owner one day, just like my cousin. The best thing I love about hairdressing is making people feel good and knowing they are walking out with a smile and more confidence in themselves. I also enjoyed finance so decided to do this as well. It became my full time job in the end but I still continued to do hair on the side. I did this for 10 years, up until the point of seeing Headonist. This is where my real journey began! I had made my dreams come true and what makes it more enjoyable, is the amazing clients we have and the wonderful team that makes Headonist what it is today.
I’ve always known I wanted to do hair. I was a Saturday girl whilst doing my exams at school so from the moment I left, I got a job as an apprentice. I will always remember my friends having the summer off before they had University or College and I started a 40 hour week at work. Being an apprentice was challenging, it really showed me that hair was definitely what I wanted to do. I qualified and set off to be a stylist at a new salon to gain experience for a year - this was part time but I knew I wanted a full time position somewhere. This is where I found Headonist. I have been here for over 10 years now and have worked my way up from a Junior stylist to Salon Manager. Its my true passion! Doing hair and chatting all day? What more could you want. I really enjoy learning new skills and trying out new products as they are forever changing, but most of all, building relationships with my colleagues and clients.
I love you all!
After finishing high school I went to hairdressing school and 15 years ago I qualified as a stylist. After a year as a junior, I started working in the salon in parallel with the university. Being involved and passionate, I soon became busy with salon work and gave up university. Later I tried for a semester a private university / management and marketing trying to gather applicable knowledge in the salon and hobbies like painting, psychology, sociology and geometry helped me a lot in understanding the haircuts, the importance of shape, matching and mixing colors and adapting my work to the client's lifestyle. I never stopped perfecting myself and I participated annually in courses and seminars organised by Paul Mitchell (Milan), Wella (Bucharest), Canyon ranch (Las Vegas), Matrix (London) and Loreal. I worked in different salons, water and land spas, with different approaches but I found myself comfortable working on quality and details rather than speed and number which makes headonist the ideal place for me.
I have been a Beauty Therapist for 4 years. I worked at Wilko while I was at college then I got my first salon job at Forever Gorgeous. I was there for 1 year then left to work at Benefit for over 2 years and now Headonist. I'm also qualified in ear piercing and have a sports leadership level 1. I can also do spa wraps (mud wraps), body exfoliation, hoppi ear candles. I absolutely love doing beauty therapy because it allows people to feel good, take time out to relax, feel pampered and give them confidence. Its all about making people feel amazing inside and out. Its hard to just pick one thing I enjoy! I love doing nails, lashes, eyebrows and making people relax and de-stress with massage. I really enjoy getting creative with nails and nail art too!!
I love talking to clients, it makes me happy and even outside of the salon I love talking to new people. I’m very interested at the moment about manifestation and living mindfully. I’m excited to learn balayages trying all the stylists different techniques until I find one that I enjoy. My favourite services are blowdrys and colour and I’d love to specialise in bleaching/blonde specialist. My passion is working hard and in five years time I hope to be successful and continuing working alongside my family at Headonist.
